Getting Pregnant With a Girl Baby

By Sandy Dean

Getting pregnant requires a bit of planning, precise timing, and a tiny bit of luck.  These are the same things that are necessary to conceive a baby girl.  So, while you’re doing these things anyway to get pregnant, why not just tweak things a little bit so that you can get the baby girl or daughter that you want out of the process?  Because it’s not at all hard if you have the correct tools.  This article will tell you not only what you have to do to get pregnant, but will also outline the few extra things that you can do to ensure that the baby is a girl.

The Basics Of Getting Pregnant With A Daughter:  You may already know many of these things, but please bear with me.  If you’re wanting to get pregnant as quickly as possible, you should find the window in your fertility cycle where you are the most likely to conceive and then have intercourse on those days.  Doing this will absolutely work (and often quickly), but it leaves the sex or gender of your baby to chance.

But, there are days in this cycle that will favor a baby girl or a baby boy.  Briefly, here’s why.  The sperm that produces a daughter is extremely strong and can live for days in the reproductive tract.  But, the opposite is true for boy sperm.  It is much weaker, although it is also fast.

So, conceiving early in this fertility window will favor having a girl because it encourages the weak boy sperm to deteriorate before ovulation and conception. Specifically, for a female baby, you should conceive 3 – 4 days before you ovulate.  But, how do you know exactly when this is?

There are several methods, although I find some old fashioned.  I don’t recommend the basal temperature, cervical mucus or calendar methods because in my experience, they leave too much room for miscalculation.  I was not getting any real results using these methods and went six months without getting pregnant.

A coworker bought me a saliva ovulation predictor kit, which allowed me to see a fool proof yes or no, and I was stunned to see that I was ovulating well after the fourteenth day of my cycle (on day twenty to be exact). So for me, to get a girl, I’d need to have intercourse on day 16 or 17 – not on day 14 as is commonly thought.  Using this information, I was finally pregnant within two months.

Other Things That Are Important In Getting A Girl Baby:  Correctly timing your conception is very important in this girl baby conception plan, but it’s only one of a few variables. There are two other things you will need to, and can, address.

The first, intercourse positioning, is quite easy.  To conceive a girl, use shallow penetration because this places the sperm far away from the egg.  The boy sperm will weaken and die off as they struggle to make this trip.

The second thing, altering your PH and acidity, is a little more challenging, but it’s not that hard.  The reason that you’ll likely need to make some changes to your PH is that boy sperm can not handle an acidic or hostile PH.  So, remember that trip to the egg that we just discussed and wanted to make extra long? Well, we want to make it extra hostile as well (as bad as this sounds.)  To do this, your vaginal acidity needs to be sky high.

How hard this will be or how long it will take is going to depend upon how acidic you already are.  Test this using PH testers that you can pick up at health food or nutrition stores or on line.  If you are not acidic as you need to be, or even if you are testing alkaline, don’t panic, you can change this – either through foods, or specialty douches, or both.  You will need to consume a high PH diet and douche with solutions meant to bring your PH higher.  Again, there are resources that can make this easier for you.

Getting pregnant with a girl is not as hard as you think.  It’s really just a three step process.  Time it right.  Send the sperm to the egg correctly, and then make the path to the egg as unfriendly and hostile to the boy sperm as is possible.

Getting Pregnant In Water – Debunking A Popular Myth

By Abhishek Agarwal

Despite all advancement where scientific knowledge is concerned, pregnancy still seems to be shrouded in mystery, one of nature’s wondrous events still not very easy to understand. It is therefore not surprising that all sorts of legends have been passed on from generation to generation concerning bodily functions and pregnancy. As a matter of fact, there are many old wives’ tales and myths woven around this biological event. The most fascinating one is related to getting pregnant in water. While one school of thought believes that semen is diluted to such an extent in water that pregnancy is not at all possible, the opposition believes that the woman can easily get pregnant even without actual intercourse being performed since sperms are such good swimmers! Now which theory seems more believable?

Modern views suggest that getting pregnant in water is definitely possible, but cannot give a 100% guarantee. It cannot be taken as a patented method to increase the chances of conception! Factors like chemicals present in the pool or hot tub or any other body of water have to be also considered, since sperms are sensitive to chemicals as well as to the temperature of water. The chances of getting pregnant in water therefore are not very bright! The couple is therefore advised not to try this drastic method to conceive!

At the same time, the couple is warned not to go to the other extreme of believing that water can be used as a safeguard against pregnancy, that is, nothing unlikely is going to happen. Here too, certain factors have to be considered. There is every chance of conception occurring if the woman should be ovulating and the sperm comes in contact with her vulva or vagina. Of course, it is still not a common occurrence. But just to avoid any untoward happenings, her partner would be better advised to use condoms or other forms of birth control before indulging in any pleasures in the water. Otherwise getting pregnant in water may be a very difficult thing to explain to one’s family or friends should they put forward any awkward questions about how it all happened!

Thus, getting pregnant in water is highly questionable but not totally impossible. It can be concluded that olden stories regarding this method were a combination of myth and reality. So the couple just has to be careful. As Murphy?s Law states, What can go wrong, will go wrong? All sincere efforts made by the couple towards getting pregnant in water may fail, whereas a casual attitude might really bring about a positive pregnancy! How do you explain that?

The Techniques on Getting Pregnant – Advice From a Mother of 3

By Melissa M. Coleman

Seems like everyone has their own techniques on trying to get pregnant nowadays. These always remind me of old wives tales because, like opinions, everyone has at least one that they are convinced has mass potential. After sifting through a ton of opinions on the net that are sure to help a woman get pregnant fast how can you be sure of what works? Many of these techniques seem to repeat themselves, but since when does popularity equal effectiveness?

The only way to tell if a random technique used to get pregnant is really worthwhile is to examine the poster’s references and origins. Most doctors and professionals in the medical field have more experience with pregnancy cases and than people that picked various ideas off of the street. There have also been a lot of research conducted on pregnancy that only the right people would have access to, so it is important to look at the source before listening to whatever they have to say. I have searched through much of the “supposed facts” on various techniques on trying to get pregnant quickly so I have amassed sufficient resources that have helped me get pregnant in the past and have helped many of my friends that are trying to conceive.

So what works? Well, I can tell you right away that you can rule out sex positions almost entirely. While you’ll hear everywhere that sexual positions have the potential to make a huge difference, I have come to conclude, in my personal life as well as scientifically, that this “supposed fact” is simply not true. Most men’s little swimmers can swim up to 3 full days and can live up to 7 days in the woman’s body, so with such upstanding statistics, contorting your body to minimize the distance sperm have to travel is of little significance.

Besides knowing your ovulation cycle inside and out, a woman’s diet and exposure to stress have the most significance. Folic acid is of increasingly strong importance as it helps produce healthy red blood cells necessary for a successful conception and pregnancy. Folic acid is also extremely helpful during pregnancy as it helps to avoid birth defects such as spina bifida, miscarriage, and it helps pregnant women to fore go fatigue and weakness. Don’t forget to avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine-containing products such as cigarettes while eating a well-balanced diet packed full of citrus fruits, leafy vegetables, and calcium-rich foods such as cheeses and yogurts.

The other significant factor when dealing with various techniques on trying to get pregnant is the impact of stress on our bodies. Most of us completely disregard the fact that stress has a huge impact on the way we function mentally but this is even more apparent when we consider our bodily functions during conception and pregnancy. Stress reacts very negatively with your body and shuts the door for conception so try to avoid stress at all costs. If stress avoidance is absolutely impossible then try yoga, working out at the gym, or even a pilates class to relieve pent-up stress.

I’m a mother who’s given birth to 3 kid’s darnit! ;) I’ve dedicated my life to helping you, after going through amazing hardship to discover what works when trying to conceive. My advice on techniques on getting pregnant are from a mother who’s been there and done that. If you’re still not pregnant and are struggling to conceive, then go here to start making it finally happen for you! :)

If You Want to Increase the Chances of Getting Pregnant Then You Need to Know This

By Melissa M. Coleman

Vitamins and minerals, in the proper amounts, are a big part of good nutrition. We’ve talked about folic acid and the benefits of obtaining vitamins and minerals from the food we eat.

(By the way, is there anything better than a fresh BLT with homegrown lettuce and tomatoes on toasted whole wheat bread? I spent my second pregnancy existing on those wonderful sandwiches!)

Let’s take a look at some of the other vitamins and supplements and how they can help with conception and/ or pregnancy:

• Iron – the average woman rarely takes in enough iron to meet the requirements of pregnancy (30 mg.per day). You’ll find more in chicken, spinach, lean red meat and dried fruits.

• Calcium – your need for calcium rises during pregnancy, too. Dairy products are the usual sources for calcium, but also consider beans, tofu, sardines and yogurt.

• Vitamin E – this important vitamin helps in metabolizing polyunsaturated fats. It also builds muscles and red-blood cells and increases both male and female fertility. Vegetarians may not get enough Vitamin E during pregnancy because the usual source is meats. Check with your healthcare provider about a supplement that provides the minimum daily requirement of Vitamin E.

• Zinc ensures normal tissue development in the fetus during pregnancy. It also help prevent miscarriage and premature delivery. It also insures the production of high quality sperm. Here’s something else you should know about zinc – it helps the body to attract and retain estrogen and progesterone. Women who are quite slender may benefit from zinc by giving birth to heavier babies. The best sources include oysters (yumm!) pumpkin seeds, cashew nuts and crabmeat. The minimum daily requirement for both you and your partner is 30 mg. per day.

• Selenium improves male fertility and prevents chromosome breakage (which can cause miscarriage). The MDR is 100 micrograms for both of you. Great sources are Brazil nuts, lobster, canned tuna, sunflower seeds and shrimp.

• Vitamin B6 helps to balance hormones. You’ll find it in sunflower seeds, canned salmon, bananas, walnuts and lentils. The MDA for both of you is 50 mg daily.

• Vitamin B12 is needed for cellular reproduction and for manufacturing sperm. Good sources are clams, sardines, anchovies, lambs, egg yolks and cheddar cheese. 50 micrograms daily should be in both your diets.

Vitamin C improves sperm quality, count and mobility. Both of you should take in 1000 mg daily (equal to 20 oranges – a supplement is probably necessary here). A very healthy salad, with loads of Vitamin C, could be made from sweet peppers, tomatoes, watercress, avocado and grated carrot. Make fresh juice from 2 oranges, 3 carrots, 1 lemon and some grated ginger. A great snack would be berries and kiwi fruit.

Great snacks can be made from some of these wonderful foods – dried fruits, nuts, peanuts (legumes) and sunflower seeds mixed together. Or try peanut or almond butter on whole wheat toast!

Another necessary dietary element – essential fatty acids. These are crucial for hormone function and semen production, quality and mobility. In women, essential fatty acids can reduce endometriosis and fibroid tumors, and these conditions can affect a woman’s fertility. Oily fish is recommended 3 times per week, with nuts and seeds daily. Sardines, mackerel and flaxseed oil are also excellent sources of fatty acids. Both halves of a couple should include these in their diets.

How To Overcome The Problem Of Getting Pregnant

By Benjamin Wise

The challenge of getting pregnant can for many be more difficult than it seems. In you’re your youth you may have been advised not to have sex so as to avoid getting pregnant. Based on this it would be easy to jump to the conclusion that sexual intercourse equals pregnancy.

So why now when you are having sex is this not happening? There are many factors that could be contributing to this issue so I am afraid there is no simple answer. However that does not mean that there are not simple things you could be doing that may make a difference.

One thing you will need to do is not stress out. While this is easy for me to say you are smart enough to know that stress will not help your cause. If you have been trying to get pregnant for some time you may want to look for support groups both online and offline so that you can discuss with others what steps you are taking when trying to get pregnant.

A problem shared is a problem halved and in discussing this issue with others you may realize that you are missing something that could make all the difference.

The nest step is to address your diet. Are you eating healthy? Are you drinking enough water? Are you getting any exercise? Beyond this I am going to presume that you are charting your cycles so as to pinpoint ovulation correctly. So you will need to review this chart and make sure you are on target.

Beyond diet have you added any supplements to make sure you are getting the nutritional balance you need? During sexual intercourse are you using any lubricants and what sexual positions do you engage in. By the way do not use lubricants as they can kill sperm and the experts say that missionary position is best.

Is you partner eating healthy and have either one of you visited a specialist to address the question of sperm count and fertility?

To conclude the purpose of this article is to share the many ingredients that need to be in place to help you conceive. This way you can approach the problem in a more holistic manner and better understand what is at play. Then you can figure out a plan, put it on paper and take your mind of it for a while in order to relax. Then as quirky as it may seem nature may take its natural course.

Improve Your Odds Of Getting Pregnant With These Effective Tips

By Benjamin Wise

It seems that if you don’t want to get pregnant, it is as easy as falling off a log. If you do want to get pregnant, all that baby dust seems to float over to someone else! There are methods to improve your chances of getting pregnant, and they are accessible to anyone.

The first thing you can do to enhance your chances of conception is get to know how your menstrual cycle works. It is not true that you can get pregnant every time you have sex. Your cycle is set up to clean up the uterus, build a new lining in preparation for a fertilized egg, and then wait until it is time to clean it out again if conception doesn’t happen.

Everyone’s cycle runs slightly different. One woman may have a 28 day cycle like clockwork every month. Another’s cycle may vary by a day or two each month. Still another may have a cycle that averages 32 days long. Knowing how your individual cycle works can not only help you conceive, it can also help you avoid pregnancy.

If you know how long your cycle is, you can keep track on a calendar when your period starts, when you ovulate, is when you have intercourse, etc. In a 28 day cycle, women will normally ovulate around day 14. This can vary slightly during times of illness, stress or other upset.

Sperm can live in the female body for up to five days, depending on what the woman’s cycle is doing when it enters her body. You may have noticed that some days of the month you feel dry. Others you feel sticky and still others you may feel slippery. What you are feeling is vaginal mucous, which will tell you where you are in your cycle.

This mucus actually helps the sperm to survive. When you are having sex do not use lubricants. Lubricants can kill off sperm. Observe your cycles and stay in tune with your body and you will increase your ability to get pregnant sooner.

Positive Pregnancy – Four Effective Tips On Getting Pregnant!

By Abhishek Agarwal

Which couple will not celebrate after hearing the news about a “bundle of joy” ready to make an entrance within the next few months? Unless totally unplanned for and totally unwanted, most couples will!

Some women end up with a positive pregnancy without even trying, and get a pleasant surprise. Some couples make a conscious decision to get pregnant and are blessed fairly quickly. But for a great number of couples, achieving parenthood is still just a dream. It is for their benefit that various methods to achieve a positive pregnancy are presented here:

(1) Health-conscious couples have better chances of making it. True, the wife has to maintain good health to conceive a baby, but the husband plays a role too. His health is equally important. You may wonder how good health can bring about a positive pregnancy. Well, research has all the answers. An underweight or overweight male finds his sperm count to be lower than a male whose weight is normal. Chain smokers bring down their sperm count.

Thus, both the partners have to practice healthy habits – eating well but maintaining the recommended weight, avoiding alcohol and cigarettes. Each partner therefore becomes the other’s motivation.

(2) The missionary sexual position is recommended by experts as sperm movement is favored by gravity while lying in this position. Though there is no scientific evidence to indicate that any one sexual position is more effective than the other, many people do believe that certain positions can increase the chances of a positive pregnancy.

(3) Familiarity with her ovulation cycle will increase the woman’s chances of attaining a positive pregnancy. For those who find this difficult to do, ovulation kits or calendars can help determine when the female partner is most fertile. But ovulation is different for each woman; for some women, there is even variation from month to month. Hence, it is better if the woman keeps a close eye on bodily changes occurring just before ovulation, that is, before the onset of her menstrual cycle.

The woman is very fertile for 3 days before the cycle, during the cycle itself, and for 3 days after the cycle. This is the best time for a positive pregnancy since sperms can survive in her body for at least 5 days.

(4) The best recommendation that can be given to achieve a positive pregnancy is to develop a healthy lifestyle, ensure that the best health care is always available, and maintain a patient attitude! Unfortunately, this is what most people find difficult to do!

All the methods mentioned above can fit into everyday life quite easily. Thus, it should not be long before the objective is attained – a positive pregnancy.

Tips For Getting Pregnant – Know Your Cycle

By Izzy Moore

One of the first tips for getting pregnant that anyone will tell you is to know the best time to try. To do this however you need to know about your menstrual cycle. We all know about periods but not all off us fully understand it.

The menstrual cycle is the method our body uses to help keep the womans body clean and safe for it to become pregnant. The conception is based around four areas of the female body which are the vagina, the cervix, the uterus and the ovaries. Each of these four areas all play a vital role in getting pregnant.

The menstrual cycle lasts over a 4 week period and is host to 4 separate stages which are as follows.

Week 1.

This consists with what is commonly known as being on our period.

Week 2.

This stage is when the important step of ovulation occurs. Ovulation is where your egg is released from the ovary and is then in the fallopian tube to hopefully meet sperm.

Week 3.

The conception. This stage is when the sperm should meet the egg and proceed to fertilize the egg.

Week 4.

Crunch time. This is when implantation occurs as the fertilized egg floats down into the lining of the uterus wall. If implantation hasn’t occurred then a new cycle will begin.

Now you know this you should understand why the best time to have sex would be 12 days after your period first started up to around 16 days. The reason being that this is when ovulation occurs and therefore when your egg will be waiting for the sperm in the fallopian tube.

The two best sexual positions for getting pregnant are the missionary position, where the woman is on the bottom and the man on top or the doggy position, with the woman on her knees and the man entering from behind, also worth trying but not as recommended is the side by side position. These positions work best as they both involve the sperm entering you in the deepest part of the vagina.

These are very basic tips for getting pregnant but they should help you when trying to conceive. If you feel you are in need of more in depth advice then I would highly recommend buying a guide to becoming pregnant.

Getting Pregnant During Menstruation – The Truth Is Revealed

By Abhishek Agarwal

Pregnancy myths abound about tips and tricks to avoid pregnancy. Douching after sex is a tale often circulated and is medically false, or that having intercourse in the water, or intercourse for the first time, are all ways to avoid pregnancy. They are all false. Another pregnancy myth that has long been around is that you can’t get pregnant during menstruation. This is both false and true, and here’s why:

While many women have normal and regular cycles, a lot of them do not. Teenagers, young adults, and women with reproductive abnormalities can all have irregular cycles. In a normal case, pregnancy during menstruation cannot occur; this is because ovulation has occurred ten to fourteen days before the period has started. While there are a lot of other factors involved, the short of it is that under normal circumstances, it just isn’t likely.

One of the other factors to be considered in regards to conception is lifespan not only of the egg, but also of the sperm. A woman’s egg lives only one day, which means the egg will only live for about 24 hours after ovulation. The complication comes, however, with the man’s sperm; sperm can live anywhere from two to five days. This means that while a woman may not think she’s fertile five or six days before ovulation, the sperm can live in her body and be ready and waiting when ovulation does occur.

As for the irregularities in a woman’s reproductive system, she can not only have an abnormal cycle, making ovulation nearly impossible to determine, but she can also release two eggs at once, doubling the chances of conception. Some women can even ovulate during a period if their cycle is severely irregular.

The best bet for anyone having intercourse and not wanting a baby is to use protection. There are many options available now days, some over the counter such as condoms, or others available only from the doctor such as birth control pills and shots. Many of these contraceptives are up to 99.9% effective. With that kind of success rate, there is no excuse for not taking proper precaution.

As for couples who are desiring a bouncing baby in nine months, having intercourse near the period is one of the most ineffective times to attempt to conceive. With a normal cycle, there are really only a few days out of a month, no more than one week that a woman can conceive. Charting ovulation and cycle dates is the best way to determine when the right time to attempt conception is.
